Rugged, often barren but always dramatic, North Dakota's badlands won over President Roosevelt in the late 19th century and continue to woo nature enthusiasts now as part of Theodore Roosevelt National Park.
The 23 acre reservoir was built in 1965, with depths up to 18 feet, it is partially surrounded by Sather Campground.
There is a fishing dock, bathrooms, picnic tables and camping sites. There is a boat ramp and only electric motors are allowed. This site currently offers the best opportunities for family fun due to fishing and amenities of the campground. Ice fishing is also popular here.
